Hello from the Fetch.AI team,
This week we’ve welcomed another new team member and spoken to some of the biggest blockchain and cryptocurrency influencers on YouTube.
The headline news of the week though is our involvement in the widely reported formation of the Blockchain for Europe association. Alongside three other leading companies (Ripple, EMURGO/Cardano and NEM), we have founded the association to represent blockchain originating organisations in Europe. Blockchain for Europe is the first credible attempt to create a unified voice for the blockchain industry at European level. The association’s goals are to foster the understanding within EU and member state institutions on the true nature and potential of distributed ledger (DLT) and blockchain technology, and to ensure that upcoming regulation promotes and boosts innovation in Europe. You can read more about this major step forward here.

We’ve also continued to engage with members of the online community. This week chief technology officer Toby Simpson spoke to Ivan On Tech. He discussed the capabilities of our autonomous economic agents and how users will be able to implement them in parallel with existing solutions:
Toby also spoke to YouTuber Crypto Gurus about our project. During the interview he explained why we consider the Fetch network to be an economic internet and how it enables machines to do business together autonomously:
We are always on the lookout for talented people to join our company. This week, we welcomed Jenny Wong to the team. A self-taught Python programmer, Jenny has a PhD from King’s College London and joins us as a research scientist.
Christmas may be approaching fast, but we’re working as hard as ever to maintain our growing momentum. Thank you for your continued support and have a wonderful weekend.
